Your engines manufacture will specify a standard service every 100 hours or 1 year. This service ensures your engine is running optimally for the entire life of the engine. More often than not, your everyday boater will average about 100 hours in 1 year.
How often will I put 100 hours on my engine?
Your everyday boater will put on average 100 hours on an engine every year.
Can you replace lower unit oil with my boat in the water?
In order to replace lower unit fluids the engine will have to trim out of the water, or be out of the water.
Will my engine still work if I don't service on time?
Yes your engine will still run, however it is not recommended. Engine manufactures design their products with specific service times to ensure the product's longevity of internal engine components.
